As NAPL’s chief economist, Andrew Paparozzi oversees the association’s Printing Economic Research Center (PERC), which produces proprietary research and reports on the graphic communications industry’s performance, prospects and defining issues, including the widely respected NAPL State of the Industry Report and monthly Printing Business Conditions. Mr. Paparozzi also oversees the NAPL Performance Indicators program, which tracks the performance of some of the industry’s most consistently successful companies, and the NAPL Printing Business Index®, a comprehensive measure of printing industry activity.

Keeping Print Relevant in a Digital World
Douglas Ehmann,
Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, The Sheridan Group
Doug Ehmann has been involved in the graphic arts industry for over 12 years. At Sheridan he has responsibility across the Sheridan Group companies for business information systems, electronic commerce, prepress, purchasing and market research. Prior to joining the industry, Mr. Ehmann held positions at Northrop Grumman, Proctor & Gamble and Xerox. Mr. Ehmann is a former member of the PRIMIR Executive Committee. He earned an MBA from Cornell University with a focus on marketing.

Owner, International Financial Services Corp.
Robert Seeds is the founder and President of IFS Corporation. Mr. Seeds was one of seven individuals who purchased controlling interest in Simmons Airlines in 1981, and served on the Board of Directors of Simmons until the airline was sold in 1988 to AMR Corporation, the parent of American Airlines. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Glenview Bank Shares, Inc., a bank holding company from 1986 to1988 until the bank’s sale in 1988.

President, Baumfolder Corporation
Ulrik Nygaard is President and CEO of Heidelberg’s Baumfolder Corporation, a position he’s held since 2002. Prior to Baumfolder, Mr. Nygaard was President of Heidelberg Post Press (Sheridan Systems). He originally joined the company in 1985 and held several top executive positions in the U.S., the UK and Germany. Before joining (then) Harris Graphics, Mr. Nygaard worked for Danish East Asiatic Company (EAC), Graphics Division for 16 years including nine years in the Far East, managing EAC’s graphic equipment and consumables divisions in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Mark J. Nuzzaco, Government Affairs Director, NPES
Mark J. Nuzzaco works with the NPES Government Affairs Committee in monitoring, analyzing and commenting on legislation, regulations and court decisions affecting NPES members and the graphic communications industry. He has represented the association and industry in numerous government and business forums on a wide variety of topics, including postal reform, Do-Not-Mail initiatives, health care reform, energy policy, product liability, taxes, international trade, regulatory reform, workplace safety and training, environmental concerns, and intellectual property policy.

In his former roles as director of the Graphic Communication Institute at Cal Poly State University and director of the Center for Imaging Excellence at the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, he created training programs for both industry clients and public workshops. He has extensive experience in implementing and managing digital production printing and publishing systems. He has authored numerous industry reports related to digital production printing. Mr. Davis has spoken at many industry events and is a regular contributor to a number of trade publications.
Mr. Davis holds a Master of Science degree in Printing Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

In 2003, he formed J Zarwan Partners, an independent consultancy that focuses on managing change; market strategy and implementation; product planning and positioning; and market research. Dr. Zarwan’s prior industry experience includes a number of marketing, product management and finance positions in the graphic arts and computer industries with firms such as Agfa (Compugraphic) and NEC Technologies. In addition to his consultancy, Dr. Zarwan teaches courses in Marketing, New Product Management and Integrated Marketing Communications at the University of Prince Edward Island.
